چکیده

General purpose mobile processors present two new design challenges. The first is the need to achieve the best performance while fitting into limited thermal environment and the second is maximizing the battery life of the entire system. The Intel® Pentium® M processor has been developed specifically to target the mobile market and therefore, much emphasis was given to advanced mobile features which included improved power efficiency, advance ACPI interface and the Enhanced Intel SpeedStep® technolgy. This paper focuses on both the thermal management and the battery life aspect of Intel Pentium M. The paper describes the new Enhanced Intel SpeedStep technology, evaluates its efficiency in terms of performance and energy consumption and compares thermal control schemes.

The Intel Pentium 4’s Unique Performance-monitoring Features Overcome Many Limitations and Problems Found in Previous Processors. Pentium 4 Xeon Performance Monitoring Supports Simultaneous Multithreaded Execution

Most modern, high-performance processors have special, on-chip hardware that can monitor performance. The features of this monitoring hardware typically include event detectors and counters, qualification of event detection and counting by privilege mode and event characteristics, and support for event-based sampling. However, these features often suffer from a common set of problems including ...

P-95: Flow Cytometry Analysis of Bovine Semen:A Qualitative Study

Background: Although AI practices have been introduced little over 60 years, the success rate remains relatively low. This might be due to the exclusive selection of semen based on motility analysis. Recent advancement in sperm sexing using flow cytometry with an increased throughput from next generation cell sorters, made use of this technology in studding sperm qualitative aspects other than ...

Proposed Feature Selection for Dynamic Thermal Management in Multicore Systems

Increasing the number of cores in order to the demand of more computing power has led to increasing the processor temperature of a multi-core system. One of the main approaches for reducing temperature is the dynamic thermal management techniques. These methods divided into two classes, reactive and proactive. Proactive methods manage the processor temperature, by forecasting the temperature be...
